Video Conferencing Technology and How It Works

Videoconferencing has been around since 1968 in various forms. Many of us received our first exposure to video conferencing by watching the NASA space missions. We saw mission control and the astronauts communicating with each other in real time. We also gained exposure to video conferencing by watching the evening news when they would have several people on live video feeds talking to each other.

Many Advantages of Video Conferencing Services

Video conference services give any business the added edge of effectively communicating and collaborating with a myriad of selected business associates and clients simultaneously. This cost effective, efficient mode of communication is available for operation on industry standard equipment, providing browser based interaction that offers complete moderator monitoring and control.

How Web Conferencing Works

During an online conference, all involved parties sit at their own computer after logging into a service, which provides a bridge to other applicable participants - via a webconferencing connection. Participants will be able to listen to, view, as well as communicate with presenters who are attached to the web conferencing line of communication.

Choosing Web Conferencing Services

When selecting a conferencing service, there are many different features offered through a wide-range of providers. Slide presentations (often PowerPoint driven) allow participants to better illustrate key points. Application sharing lets others add to the spreadsheet of the main presenter. Items of importance can be highlighted or marked through a display feature called annotation. Text messaging, file sharing, as well as helpful polls and surveys also further the appeal and usefulness of internet conferencing.

No. We value your business and know that once you have tried our service you will want to use AccuConference because of the quality service and fantastic rates you will receive in return. We want to earn your business everyday and do not see the need to restrict your freedoms as a customer with binding contracts!

Can participants use their cell phones to join the conference call

Yes you can use your cell phone to call our toll access number and join a conference call. Special Note to Cell Phone Users Although access to our system is available from your cell phone through the toll number, your cell phone provider may/or may not charge you AIR TIME, lond-distance and other CHARGES. AccuConference is not responsible for the particular contract items related to what your cell phone provider is allowed to charge. Please make sure you know what your cell phone service plan states regarding this issue.

Can I have more than one conference call going at the same time

You can have as many conference calls in a month as you want, but not at the same time. For instance if you schedule a one hour conference call at 10:00 and another at 11:00 then your run the risk of your 11 o'clock parties joining your 10 o'clock call before it is finished. You may want to leave a 15 minute transition "gap" between scheduled calls or you can setup multiple conference rooms to have meetings occur at the same time.
