| What is a web conference
A web conference is when three or more people talk on the phone at the same time at different locations. During your conference call you use the internet to share information like a PowerPoint. This is called a Web Conference. Conference calls allow everyone to be in the same meeting regardless of location. Participants can hear what you hear and see what you see - anytime, anywhere. |

| How an Audio Conference Works
The basic concept of audio conferencing uses two or more speakerphones and several dial up numbers. These numbers can be either local or toll free long distance numbers.
You also have the option of having this done on your own and you run the long distance charges on your own or you can sign up for one of several audio conferencing services. These services will offer several package types that will handle the dial up, long distance and logins differently depending on the type of package that you signup for. |
| What Audio Conferencing Services are Available
There are many options available for the person or company looking to sign with an audioconference provider. You can choose to have an operator help mediate your call by checking callers in and helping to assist with any problems.
Operators also help with any security issues. By employing the use of a specific pin number for different calls, security is greater, but potential problems also increase. An operator can help with any security problems or questions.

| How to Choose the Best Audio Conferencing Provider for Your Needs
There are many things that you should consider when you are looking for an audio conferencing service and the price is just a start.
You will want to know how long they have been in business and how well they are recommended. What is their plan in case they have a system failure to make sure that you can continue on with your meeting? Do they have translators available for the languages that you will need? They should have all the popular ones but what about the odd ones, can they find someone on short notice if it is needed?

You are in control of when your calls are scheduled.
